The crucial meeting to clear the Singur stalemate in West Bengal has began after being deferred for few hours. The meeting is currently going on.
Representatives of the Trinamool and the West Bengal government are meeting at the Governor's residence to try and resolve the deadlock.
The talks scheduled to begin on Friday morning were postponed till 4 pm after Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi asked the opposition to put its agitation on hold when the talks take place.
Trinamool Congress' Mamata Banerjee seems to have complied at least in part with the Governor's precondition. No political speeches are being made in Singur since the meeting is going on.
One part of the blockade on the Durgapur expressway has also been cleared.
