Probe in Aarushi case still on: CBI
Aarushi murder case: CBI fails to file chargesheet
 INDIA , 9-September-2008  6:44:9 AM
After investigating Aarushi Talwar's murder case for four months, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday virtually admitted that they have no evidence against the accused.

As the date to file chargesheet nears, a CBI official during a press conference held at CBI headquarters, said, "We have conducted some scientific tests during our investigation. But, we are still trying to trace the missing mobile phones."

The official added that a reward of Rs 1 lakh will be given to anyone who can provide information.

The official also said, "The weapon of offence was a heavy sharp edged weapon which could also be a 'khukri'."

On the issue of filing the chargesheet, the official said that it will be filed only when investigation is complete.

Meanwhile, Aarushi's parents, while speaking to NDTV, said, "We hope and pray CBI is able to get the evidence to ensure Aarushi gets justice."

The Aarushi murder case still remains a mystery. And since Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not been able to give any concrete results, the mystery seems to be deepening.

Sleuths of the probe agency had conducted three months of pain-staking examinations into the case, in which teenager Aarushi and her family's domestic help Hemraj were mercilessly murdered.

The investigations also led to the arrest of Krishna, a compounder working with Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar, and Rajkumar, helper of Talwar family's neighbour, and Vijay Mandal, another domestic helper.
