| Hit-and-run case takes yet another life in Delhi

| Anuj Singh, the young man, who was hit by a speeding BMW in a south Delhi Colony has succumbed to his injuries.
He died early on Saturday morning in a Delhi hospital. Anuj and his friend were on a bike when the BMW driven by a 19-year-old boy Utsav Bhasin hit them and sped away.
Anuj was seriously injured and doctors had held out little hope for his recovery.
His family who spoke to NDTV have said that they are now determined to fight for justice.
"We have to pay the cost of the whims of the rich. We have lost our lives. His father should be punished first, because it was he who gave his son the arrogance of being rich. I am bearing the brunt of his luxuries," said Anuj's mother.
The other victim Mrigank was not that badly hurt but was not in shape to identify Utsav in court yet.
Utsav who was driving his father's BMW was arrested and released on bail on Friday. He has been charged with negligent driving.
However, now he will be charged with culpable homicide. Police say they will question Anuj's friend who was also injured in the hit and run incident and Utsav's sister who was with him in the BMW.
Utsav told the police that the BMW hit the bike when it suddenly came in before him but the fact is after the accident he ran away in an autorickshaw and was trying to get out of Delhi when the police arrested him.
