| The south side of Chicago was where Barack Obama turned to, after three years at Harvard Law School to pursue his passion - community organisation. It was in Chicago where Barrack Obama launched his political career by running for the post of Senator from Illinois.
On Tuesday, Barack Obama will be returning home after nearly two years on the campaign trail, to cast his vote, and to what will be either a victory or a concession speech, in Chicago's Grant Park. Chicagoites, for whom Obama is a hometown hero, are hoping for his win.
"Obama may be from Hawaii but he is a Chicago native. We see him as our home guy. Chicago is going to go 99 per cent Obama's way," said a Chicago resident.
Barack Obama has been running a campaign based on change, and on Tuesday night if the first generation American son of a black African father carries the day, America will be changed forever
