| While the initial investigations have pointed towards an involvement of al-Qaeda or LeT hand in the Terror attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket team in Lahore, the United States has said that it was not sure as to which organization was behind the attack.
The US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs, Richard Boucher has said that it is still difficult to determine who was behind the terror attack in which seven Lankan cricketers were injured.
“We have a lot of concerns about that attack but basically it’s for the Pakistani authorities to investigate and find out who did it,” ‘The Dawn’ quoted Boucher, as saying.
Addressing a press briefing in Washington, Boucher said that the aim behind the attack was militants wanting to destabilize Pakistan and create panic among its citizens.
“The terrorists did not want the people of Pakistan to live a normal life and that’s why they were targeting every thing, from a cricket team to a Sufi shrine,” Boucher added
