| Pakistan army offensive against terrorists in Swat and the series of US drone attacks have shaken the top Al Qaeda leadership, media report said, hinting that loses suffered by the Taliban may force the secretive outfit to become more visible.
Quoting unidentified US counter-terrorism officials, the 'Washington Post' said that since last fall, the predator drone attacks, have killed about half of the 20 US-designated high value Al Qaeda and other targets along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.
"The drone attacks as well as Pakistan's ongoing offensive in and around the Swat valley have unsettled Al Qaeda and undermined its relative invulnerability in Pakistan's mountainous sanctuary," the paper quoted US military and intelligence officials as saying.
While, Al Qaeda remains a most potent threat, "they have suffered some serious losses and seems to be feeling a heightened sense of anxiety. That is not a bad thing at all," the officials said
