| US warns Iran of consequences of not responding to talk offer

The Obama Administration on Wednesday warned Iran of "consequences and implications" of not responding to its offer for a dialogue and the specific arrangements the US along with its international partners have put on the table on that country's nuclear programme.
"There are consequences and implications for Iran's failure to meaningfully respond to our offer of dialogue and the specific arrangements that we've put on the table," said P J Crowley, Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs.
Crowley's statement came hours after White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs said there is "a very real deadline" for Iran.
"Ahmadinejad may not recognise, for whatever reason, the deadline that looms, but that is a very real deadline for the international community.
Now they have to live up to those responsibilities. If they fail to do so, the international community will act accordingly," Gibbs has said.
