India and China marching ahead of America is not acceptable to US President Barack Obama who is "not willing to settle for second place".
"I don't want to cede our future to China and India and European countries. I am not willing to settle for second place -- not for the United States of America," Obama told a cheering crowd at a Town Hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire.
For the second time in a week, Obama used India and China in his speeches to tell Americans that countries like India and China are fast marching ahead and closing in the gap with the US and there is also the likelihood that his country lagging behind the two Asian giants.
"I won't rest until we do what we know has to be done to secure our leadership in the 21st century," Obama said as in the recent past he has been telling Americans that it is time to buckle up for the US in sectors like education, math and science and even climate change; or else countries like India and China would soon leave them behind.
