Days after India and the US concluded their first Cabinet-level Strategic Dialogue, Obama Administration's point man for South Asia today said New Delhi supports America's policy with regard to Pakistan, including aid to the terror-hit country.
"They (Indian leaders) believe we have a shared interest in helping to stabilise Pakistan," Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Robert Blake, said during a State Department's blog forum discussion on last week's Indo-US Strategic Dialogue.
The dialogue was co-chaired by the External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"They're certainly well aware that a spiral-down would not be in India's interests," Blake said at the video blog in conversation with Teresita Schaffer, director of the South Asia programme at the CSIS, a Washington-based think tank.
