| Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned twice today, first for an hour and then for the day, as chaos erupted with Opposition demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the alleged "large scale corruption and scams" in Commonwealth Games, telecom 2-G Spectrum allocation and Adarsh Housing Society.
The government, however, rejected the demand for a JPC probe into the Adarsh Housing scam, saying the Centre has nothing to do with it.
As soon as the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha met, Opposition members, led by the BJP, did not allow the Question Hour by trooping into the well and raising slogans, leading to adjournment till noon.
When the two Houses reassembled, Opposition members again raised the issue leading to their adjournment for the day.
