Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials probing the Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society scam met state Maharashtra Chief Secretary J P Dange on Tuesday and complained that departments were not providing them information on the building.
A team of three CBI officials from Mumbai met Dange in Mantralaya in the afternoon and submitted a letter, asking the government to speed up handing over of files regarding the building.
“They said that some departments concerned have sent information while some have not. They also said some departments had not allowed them to take a look at papers related to the scam,” said Dange.
Dange said that the letter and related documents would be submitted to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan who would decide on the action to be taken in the matter.
If a decision is taken, the state government will issue orders to the departments of urban development, environment and revenue co-operative along with the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and BEST to provide information to the CBI.
