A 34-year-old mother in the US, who's said to have admitted to leaving her baby son in bath to play game on a popular social networking site, is facing up to 43 years in jail after the boy drowned, a media report said.
Shannon Johnson from Fort Lupton has been charged with child abuse resulting in death, the 'Daily Mail' online said.
In fact, after the boy died at a Denver-area hospital last September, Johnson allegedly admitted to police that she placed the baby in the bath and went into another room to play the Facebook game 'Cafe World', the report said.
A local court heard that Johnson told the police that she had checked in with her friends online and watched videos while the boy bathed alone.
When she didn't hear any sounds from the boy after 10 minutes, she found him slumped over face down in the bathwater making "gurgling" sounds. Johnson said she then called 911 and the boy was airlifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival from drowning, the report said.
