Indian cricket's comeback man Sourav Ganguly has said that he does not want to be captain anymore.
Speaking to Dr Prannoy Roy on India questions, the former India skipper said, "I am happy being a player. I am freer mentally. I am fresher on the cricket ground."
Asked about the pressures of an average cricketer, Ganguly said, "When you get out on zero you see what's the quickest way to the pavilion and when you drop a catch you don't look at the crowd till another one comes and you hold on to it."
He added that a cricketer could in no way get away from the scrutiny of the people and the pressures and the way in which it is handled is "what separates a successful one from another".
Asked how much the media was to blame for his lean patch, the southpaw said, "The media will print what it gets. The media has not created the news. Their job is to show the news. In so much competition they have to report."
