| India and the United States on Friday formally announced the agreement on the historic nuclear deal.
A joint statement was issued and a press conference was held by the National Security Advisor (NSA), the Foreign Secretary and the Dept of Atomic Energy Chief.
The NSA said it was an excellent deal that fulfilled all of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's commitments to the Parliament.
And though India would have liked more, in terms of technology transfers, the deal satisfies India's requirements.
The NSA also said the Left and BJP are more than satisfied with the agreement.
