| France's Virginie Razzano defeated India's Sania Mirza 6-1, 7-6 in the pre-quarterfinals of the East West Bank Classic women's tennis tournament.
Ranked 30 in the world, Sania knocked out world number 12 Martina Hingis in a second round match at the East West Bank Classic WTA event on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old has beaten five top-20 players in the past two weeks.
