| German Chancellor to hold talks |
| Germany will be the next chair of the Nuclear Suppliers Group or the NSG, which has to clear the deal.

| Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel begins her visit to India on Tuesday.
She will be meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the evening where the two sides are expected to talk business and the nuclear deal.
Germany will be the next chair of the Nuclear Suppliers Group or the NSG, which has to clear the deal.
Till now, Germany has not taken a formal position but has many concerns on non-proliferation.
However, with the deal on hold in India, the issue may not be top of the agenda in the discussions.
In fact, business is the big focus instead with the German leader bringing a 30-member business delegation with her.
