| MNS' bid to get jobs held by migran |

| If you live in Mumbai, don't be surprised to see a Maharashtrian bhau deliver your milk home the next time. This is part of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's strategy to wrestle jobs back from the North Indians.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is going all out to strengthen its support for the Marathi manoos and its tirade against migrants.
On the day when the gag order against MNS chief Raj Thackeray was stayed by the Sessions court in Mumbai, the party seems to have realised that inflammatory statements were just not enough.
The MNS's labour wing is now trying to get Maharashtrians into trades dominated by migrants like selling milk, vegetables, fish and even street food like paav-bhajji.
''They usurped the jobs of the Marathis, now Marathis want to reclaim their jobs. If we sell the same thing at the same price, why will people not buy from us?'' said Girish Dhanurkar, MNS Leader.
The MNS is also training unemployed young men in the street food business, another stronghold of immigrants particularly from north India.
The move comes particularly in face of the backlash faced by the party for the violence it unleashed on Mumbai's streets.
The MNS hopes that playing this political card will come in useful ahead of the assembly elections in 2009.
