RAMAYANA dance drama directed and choreographed by Pandit S.N. Charka features dramatic scenes from the great epic of ancient India, and portrays the eternal battle between good and evil. The Ramayana production, originally inspired by Brahmananda Sarasvati, has been a highlight of the summer programs since the early 1980s. A musical score by composer Shankar Shambhouge, choreography and costumes elevate the beauty and charm of this year’s production. Created with the efforts of both American and Indian dancers, actors and technical staff, it is presented as a multimedia pageant.
