SRUTI - The India Music and Dance Society produly presents a sitar concert by Shafaatullah Khan with the Mansfield University Symphony Orchestra.
SRUTI, The India Music and Dance Society is a not-for-profit cultural organization based in the Philadelphia area. In September 1996, it celebrated its Tenth anniversary with a grand program that included Pandit Ravi Shankar. Run entirely by volunteers, it has a Board of Directors, who draw up the operating plan and budget, acquire and maintain the equipment, present the events, and administer the ongoing operations including the finances. A resources committee is entrusted with long term planning to fulfill the objectives and goals of the organization. A library committee maintains the tape library, regularly publishes the magazine SRUTI Ranjani, and is responsible for SRUTI Notes
