RAMAYANA DANCE DRAMA, is directed and choreographed by Pandit SN Charka featuring dramatic scenes from the great epic of ancient India, which portrays the eternal battle between good and evil - the story of our mind. The Ramayana production, originally inspired by Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, has been a highlight of their summer programs since the early 1980s. A new musical score by composer Shankar Shambhouge, new choreography and new costumes elevate the beauty and charm of this year’s production. Created with the efforts of both American and Indian dancers, actors and technical staff, it is presented as a spectacular multimedia pageant at the outdoor amphitheater. Bring blankets and warm clothing for outdoor performance.
