On September 13, 2007, some of India's and America's most remarkable achievers will assemble in the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts in Washington D.C. for CineMaya Media Group - Indian & American Achiever Awards.
This inaugural event will take place on the 60th Anniversary of India's Independence to honor people who have contributed towards the collective advancement and growth of the two largest democracies in the world
India and America have never been closer than they are today. This is not simply a political or business achievement, it is a bond that has been created for decades. The two countries have a firm handshake built by some of the smartest, hardworking, and talented people in the world. It is this lot of individuals, who strive to accomplish radical advancements filled with change, enabling the world of tomorrow to become the reality of today.
In the year 1997, the founders of CineMaya Media Group (CMG) produced the "Music Festival of India" at Carnegie Hall to celebrate India's 50th Anniversary of Independence. The festival included live performances by maestros from the field of music and performing arts. On the eve of the millennium in 2000, CineMaya Media Group produced a widely acclaimed television series aptly titled "N-R-Eyes", featuring some of the most successful Non-Resident-Indians (NRIs). The series informed, educated, entertained audiences around the world with success stories told through the eyes of NRIs.
This year, on the occasion of India's 60th Anniversary of Independence, CineMaya Media Group, has once again embarked on a tradition to honor the achievers who are the pride of India and America and inspire the next generation of Indians and Americans.
