Sushma Mohan and the Soorya Dance Company will perform at the NEW JERSEY
STATEWIDE CULTURAL FESTIVAL at the South Riverwalk Park in Trenton, NJ.
The festival will be inaugurated by NJ State Governor Jon S. Corzine and hosted by Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells.
The festivities celebrations will kick off at 11am and Soorya, the only classical Indian dance company to perform this year will take the stage at 2.30pm.
Festival highlights include performances by Native American, South and East Asian, Latino, Brazilian, Greek, Ukrainian, Chinese, Klezmer, jazz and hip-hop artists, among many others. The festival also will feature African American storytelling and spoken word poetry.
