Navratri is a Hindu celebration in which reverence is paid to the
Goddesses of valor, wealth, and knowledge/art. This festival of nine nights (Nava-nine & Ratri-nights) is celebrated in various forms around India. People perform Garba and Raas (Indian folk dances) while cling the many forms of feminine divinity.
This year, Navratri will be celebrated with style! Free dandiya stick rental is available with ID. Bombay Bistro will also be providing DELICIOUS food for only $5 a plate! And our Navratri would not be complete without DJ Amish from New Jersey providing the best Navratri/Bhangra music in town. There will be free t-shirts, prizes, and more!!! Come celebrate this Navratri FREE with Hindu Students Council!
