He is from a family of musician. His father was a Classical Sitar player and was disciple of Pandit Balaram Pathak. Sekhar started his training on Guitar at an early school age from eminent Guitarist Batuk Nundy and Abhijit Nath while in Kolkata. He is one of the best disciple and favorite student of Batuk Nundy. He is ex “All India Radio” artist and cut few cassettes on popular modern songs. He has already performed solo Hawaiian guitar in New York, New Jersey, Boston, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania area and has accompanied various Indian recognized singers with Spanish guitar at different occasions.
