Samskriti Foundation (center for Indian dance, music, and allied arts), a non-profit organisation run by dancer Shoba Natarajan engaged in making the traditional performing arts of India, primarily classical music and dance, more accessible to the community, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
An evening consist of two programs - first half will be Natya Nivedanam - a margam from pushpanjali to thillana presented by students of Samsriti .
This will be followed by Suryakantha - Beloved of the Sun by the Samskriti Dance Ensemble. Suryakantha is the story of one such love, related through the classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
