The festival showcases arts from Orissa, including the works of the royal Mauryan textile workshop established over 2000 years ago and the designs that continue to be employed by spinners, weavers and embroiders there. The patachitra, a school of painting where the artist executes the work using colours such as red, blue, black and yellow are also on sale.
