Taking due account of the importance of the traditions and cultural values of each people for the protection and harmonious development of the child and recognizing the importance of National co-operation for improving the living conditions of children in India, Open Forum is all set to organize National Convention on Rights of Child from 27 to 29 June 2008 at Mekhala Jha Auditorium, National Bal Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi 110002. The primary aim of this national level Convention on the Rights of the Child is to organize focused group discussions with different stakeholders for development and protection of rights of child. Organizing Committee has decided that the said National Convention will conclude with a Declaration, which would contain the main points, inherent problems, suggestive measures, policy guidelines etc., which will be duly communicated to concerned Ministries (Union and States), Departments and other active organizations for perusal and action. After that, the organizing committee has planed to create 3 years integrated program to address the issue in a holistic manner.
