Dakshina Palli Inc./ The School presents CONTEMP-NATYAM, third in the series. Choreography by Founding/Artistic Director: Jaan R. Freeman

At: City Center Studios, 130 West 56th Street, 3rd floor, NYC (between 6th and 7th Avenues)
Dancers: Jaan R. Freeman, Alpi Sinha, Alicia Pascal, Penelope Kalloo, Gargi Patel, Priyanka Pendharkar, Shani Pascal.
An aesthetic merger of east and west drawing from Bharatanatyam and modern dance movement vocabulary. The program features the world premiere of Jaan R. Freeman's “The Best of 1964” and “Mediterranean Band”. The program will also feature the revival of “Folk Songs of Sri Lanka” (2006) and “Oli” (2006) with live vocals and tabla by Emiliano Valerio to a score by Badal Roy.
