Rajgir Dance Festival is organized every year by the Department of Tourism, Bihar. It takes place in the last week of October and lasts for three days. The venue of this Dance Festival is Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadhan Empire of Bihar. Due to its connection with the Lord Buddha as well as Lord Mahavira, Buddhists and Jains consider Rajgir a holy place. Apart from this, it is also a very popular tourist spot.Rajgir Dance Festival, held in the state of Bihar, is also known by the name of Rajgir Mahotsav. A dance and music festival, it attracts artists from far and wide. You will get to see different type of musical as well as dance performance here like folk dance, instrumental music, ballet, devotional songs, different forms of classical dance and music, etc.
