Utsav-Ranjana's Odissi Dance Academy premieres NAL –DAMYANTI, its new dance production in two styles of Odissi and Chhau. The mythological story of Nal and Damyanti finds mention in the epic Mahabharata. It recites the tale of noble King Nal who despite his righteous beliefs succumbed to temptations of playing dice and lost his entire kingdom and more so, he loses himself. This story has relevance even in today’s world where temptations beckon and aim to mislead. Nal - Damyanti will have a completely animated background set where the dancers will interact with the computer generated (CG) environment.
