Bangalore hosts INTERNATIONAL TRANS ARTS FESTIVAL 2016 dedicated to the artists exclusive from the transgender community, and will have a comprehensive exposure of activities of Transgender Community in the field of arts, music, classical dance, drama, and poetry reading. Artists from India who are performing are BN dancer Narthaki Nataraj, Manjamma Jogithi with her team of 10 members from the Jogappa Community of Bagalkot District from Karnataka who will perform Jogithi Nritya and Choudike pada (sangeetha), Lakshya (BN) from Kalakshetra Chennai, and light music singer Vasuki. International artistes include Maalika Panikar (BN & Mohiniattam) from Singapore, and Varsha Vardhanaa (Kuchipudi) from Malaysia.
National award winning movie ‘Naanu Avanalla...Avalu’ (Kannada) directed by B.S. Lingadevaru, based on Vidya's autobiographical work ‘I am Vidya’, will be screened.
