Bangalore's very own dance village presents the annual NRITYA UTSARGA - An evening with Nrityagram. 18th August is of great significance because it was the day Nrityagram's founder, Protima Gauri disappeared in an avalanche. That was in 1998. Now, 18 years on, Nrityagram continues its journey as a change-making dance institution and company. Nrityagram's first batch of students have taken Protima Gauri's vision forward, adding their own dreams and aspirations to the mix. At Nritya Utsarga 2016, students training at Nrityagram in its village, city and residential programs and dancers of the Ensemble will present glimpses of their life in dance at an evening of performance woven together by Artistic Director Surupa Sen.
At: Sophie School Auditorium, 70 Palace Road, Bangalore, 7pm. Free admission.
