SHIVAYA: 25 Years of Creativity & Excellence
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Rangoli Foundation, the Rangoli Dance Company (RDC) presents classical Indian dances and the premiere of a new work by RDC creator and choreographer Malathi Iyengar, Sat., Aug. 28, in Los Angeles and Sun., Aug. 29, in Thousand Oaks. Rangoli Dance Company is joined by musicians and dancers from India. For more information visit www.rangoli.org
Performances include Bharatanatyam dances and Iyengar’s new work, the 75-minute long, Shivaya. A reception will be held after each performance. Tickets: $20 to $50.
