Dileep who evoked spontaneous laughter from the audience with movies like 'Ee Parakkumthalika', 'Thenkashipattanam' etc, yet again proves that he is the king of comedy with 'My Boss'. This absolute rib-tickler presents the pair of Mamta Mohandas and Dileep together for the first time in a comedy flick.
'My Boss' is light hearted romantic comedy, set in Mumbai and Kerala, which traces the life of an Australian Immigrant, Priya (Mamta Mohandas) and her subordinate at the office Manu (Dileep). A circumstance concerning certain immigration formalities forces the dynamics of their relationship to turn upside down. The tough task-maker and abusive 'Boss' unwittingly becomes 'Wife' of the subordinate. The ensuing tangles are hilarious, leaving the viewers short of breath and with an aching stomach from laughing too hard. The comic moments created through the 'cat and mouse' game between the two, forced to be together, with their vast cultural differences and other such escapades are absolutely hilarious.
The film sustains the comedy almost throughout, except for the last half an hour, when predictably the pair turns all gooey and romantic. Sai kumar as Dileep's father and Seetha as his mother have important parts in the movie. Others like Kalabhavan Shajon, Valsala Menon, and Master Jeevan support the lead pair. The entire cast has given good performances. Of course Dileep stands out. Mamta too does a decent part,
