Four different stories stitched together that makes an amazing pattern, an experimental narration that keeps the viewers engrossed, a fresh energetic cast, debutant Sunil Ibrahim's 'Chapters' makes for an interesting viewing.
This is a film that veers away from the usual potboiler's formula of a hero, villain and a superhuman crisis management by the hero. The protagonist in 'Chapters' is not even human- its a money bag. The thread that binds the four chapters together offers a glimpse into lives bound together unwittingly, even without each other's knowledge. The director has conceived the plot in the form of a book with many chapters, of which audience are allowed to witness four chapters. The plot connects many characters.
There are four friends Krishna Kumar (Nivin Pauly), Anwar (Hemanth Menon), Kannan (Dharmajan) and Joby (Vijeesh) whose plan to make some money in an unusual manner backfires. Then there is Sethu (Sreenivasan) meeting a lady (KPAC Lalitha) at the bus stop and sharing their woes. The unexpected amount of money that Sethu brings to treat their child afflicted with cancer, prompts his wife (Lena) to talk him into returning the amount to where it belongs. In another thread six friends set out together to find a half dead man in their car, out of nowhere, evoking the shock of their lives. These characters cross paths in the most interesting manner to make up the plot.
The entire cast including Nivin Pauly, Hemanth, Vijeesh, Dhananjay, Aju, Rejith,
