Sringaravelan Review

Story:The film follows the life of a jobless youth who sets out to romance an affluent girl, marry her and make his living.
There is something mysteriously enviable about Sibi K Thomas and Udayakrishna. If routine breeds boredom, these script writers are religiously devoted to disproving the maxim. They would make men fall in dung-pits as many times as they wish, make angry dogs chase men and also make men chase beautiful women. But whenever they do it, they get the desired results for reasons unknown. Sringaravelan scripted by them do not mark any drastic transition from their previous films.
In the film, Dileep plays Kannan, a lousy, jobless graduate in fashion designing who harbours dreams of making easy money. He gets into a league with Yeshu, a wimpy goon played by Lal. His advice for easy money is to woo rich girls and marry them. The film then takes the characteristic route Sibi and Uday have been treading for quite some time with ease.
A giant mansion housing aristo cratic, well-bred people; a glowering villain and a lass with a troubled past appear sequentially in the narrative. One-liners with a taste for the lewd and sharp, spontaneous riffs are sprinkled evenly to weave a plot that progresses in a pre-determined pace.
Songs spurt out of nowhere to celebrate birthdays or discovery of romance. There is plenty of color, be it in the settings or in the garbs of the characters. For a change, the usual final standoff at godown takes place out of doors, and end up in a high-rise building involving bullets and guns.
Sringaravelan is all about slap-stick witticism - stale but still alive, stuffed with rare moments of good-natured laughter that fades away a bit too soon.
