    Pianist Review - 6/11/2014 2:20:58 PM
Cast: Anumohan, Aju VargheseDirection: HyderaliGenre: RomanceDuration: 2 hours

The film moves around a youth who is passionate about music and how a girl enters his life, eventually changing the course of his journey towards his ambition.

Anumohan comes across as a handsome youth. With those big, bright eyes, a straight nose and measured spots of stubble, his face is a sure shot for any photo frame. This is precisely why it becomes so hard for the viewers to understand why he would let his pretty decent looks be mauled by a jarringly annoying wig he sports in his first film as a hero.

One probable explanation might be the fact that he plays a youth with a big heart for music. Equipped with a mini-leather bag, he could strike the right tones in any instrument in a matter of seconds. Musicians need not necessarily have to grow long hair to make their vocation look authentic.

Anumohan takes that risk by negating his nice looks with an ill-fitting wig which has strands jutting out like loose screws of a machine. Manu, the aspiring musician chances upon his love-interest on the web and thus opens the typical destiny-driven love story where the couples would come inches closer towards meeting, but would not recognize themselves.

It's not at all a bad story even with a lump share of cliches where the lovers first fight, breed hatred and then drench their bitterness in honey-soaked love. The damage is done mostly by the way the characters speak to each other.
