    Koothara Review - 6/16/2014 10:54:25 PM
Cast: Sunny Wayne, Tovino Thomas, Bharath, MohanlalDirection: Srinath RajendranGenre: DramaDuration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Story: The film chronicles the lives of three youths who are firm on their dreams despite being pushed aside by adverse turn of events in their life.

Koothara is part sense and part absurdity. Srinath has a pretty simple tale - men going through mess and mayhem finally turn adversity into advantage. He sets the story in a college backed by a narration, the source of which would be revealed only in the end and it is also one of those factors that contribute to the lazy sense of insanity that pervades the film.

Three engineering students played by Sunny Wayne, Tovino Thomas, Bharath find themselves dismissed from college after a series of antics. While staging these sequences Srinath is almost unabashed stitching together scenes which dangle between extreme madness and shameful silliness.

In this film, the girls emerge as the canniest betrayers and flirtatious witches who heartlessly treat men like tissue papers. A girl would egg on her lover on stage and behind the screen she finds herself passionately pressed onto a wall, her body wriggling in the arms of another chap. Break-ups happen with the accompaniment of the most shameless acts, like a boy hurling a lingerie at his lover declaring that it is a sign of divorce.

The narrative revels in such utmost acts of shamelessness.
