Rahman After a gap of four years Superstar Rajinikanth made a comeback this year, with 'Kochadaiiyaan' directed by his daughter Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth. The 3D animated film is not inferior to the recent films of the Superstar in terms of box office collections. As a pleasant surprise to his fans, the actor started acting in his next film even before the release of 'Kochadaiiyaan'. This is of course a phenomenon that was not seen in the actor's career at least for the past two decades. Rajini has taken up 'Lingaa' that is being directed by K.S.Ravikumar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The story written by Ponkumaran has pre independence and contemporary portions and the audience can get to see their matinee idol in dual roles. Bolloywood heroine Sonakshi Sinha is debuting in Tamil as the love interest of Rajini's character in the pre-independence era while Anusha has been paired up with the character played by Rajini in the present day portions. The film also features Santhanam, Karuna, Radharavi, R.Sundarrajan and many other actors in the supporting cast. Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu has been roped in to play an important role which is reportedly the lead villain role in the film. Music is being scored by A.R.Rahman and Rathnavelu handles the camera.
