Cast: Mammootty, Caroline Bech, Srinda AshabDirection: Salaam BapuGenre: DramaDuration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Malik Bhai is an influential fish auctioneer in Kochi harbour and his path crosses with a beautiful tourist, Michelle, from England. As the story unfolds, the true intention of Michelle's visit and whether Bhai can help her are revealed.
A tale dipped in the 'love and trust that transcend communication barriers', Manglish has everything for a Mammootty fan. His charisma is wrapped in action sequences and songs, awestruck friends and foes, and adept slang usage. Malik Bhai is no challenge for Mammootty as an actor, and the film offers no memorable or outstanding, recall-worthy comic moments or dialogues.
Malik Bhai, a divorcee, is an influential yet gentleman fish auctioneer - a familiar name in the harbour. He meets a feisty foreigner, Michelle, by the turn of events. Though their association starts on a rough note, the two eventually soften towards each other, despite the communication barrier. Though happily wrapped in the warmth of the hospitality extended by Malik Bhai's friends and family, Michelle's intentions are a lot more than touring around. How she goes about it and Malik's efforts towards the same form the crux of the story.
