Review: A serial killer, a top-rated TV show and a keen lady journalist, a quirky priest who gets involved in the sensational case, a brilliant police officer and reasons that bring them together and shock viewers - Angels has all the right elements of a thriller and a degree of novelty with respect to the plot.
A diligent police officer (Hameem Haider) is badly injured while tracking down a killer who murders three successful women from various backgrounds in a similar fashion. Delving deep, he learns appalling truths about the reasons that triggered the act and decides to reveal them to the society in an unorthodox fashion.
Angels succeeds in keeping the audience hooked, which leads to a revelation at the end. Indrajith's handling of a mystery-laden Haider is mature and cop role is safe in his hands. Asha Sarath proves once again that she can do ultimate justice to power-women characters. Joy Mathew's antics as Fr Varghese Punyalan are pleasurable to an extent,
