Cast: Jayasurya, Pia BajpaiDirection: PriyadarshanGenre: ComedyDuration: 2 hours 40 minutes
Story: Kallu and Thamara have been in love since childhood, but her father is against their romance. There is a ray of hope after the girl's dad and the lover boy together witness the inflow of some unexpected cash. Will they get the money and will the romance blossom?
Review: The makers of Aamayum Muyalum claim that it's a comedy flick, but after impatiently waiting for more than two hours for laughter, you end up with an entertainment-induced headache! For those planning to relive the memories of Kilukkam, Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, Thenmavin Kombathu, Boeing Boeing and all those evergreen comic capers, this is not one such joyride. As the film inches ahead piggy-backing on cliched humour, one wonders whether it's actually a Priyadarshan film, for real.
The director has roped in many talented actors and just as in Thenmavin Kombathu and Kakkakuyil, the film's setting is absolutely gorgeous. Those residing in the poverty-stricken village of Gowlippadi are into colourful clothing and accessories, and their homes are spacious and classy. They have enough pillared corridors and green-fringing pathways to run around romancing and having fun. The film has great songs and sequences.
The songs are mishmashes of Priyadarshan's yesteryear music sequences, but at least they don't tire viewers like the film. In the absence of quality comedy,
