Synopsis: Damanan and Madanan are thieves, who have been trying to pull off a good burglary. The break-in they plan goes downhill and the duo jump into a river in an attempt to escape. They lose consciousness while swimming, but both see a dream in which they are washed ashore in a land sans commercialization.
Review: Njan Ninnodu Koodeyundu directed by Priyanandanan reminds one of Rajiv Anchal's much-famed Oscar entry Guru, James Cameron's Avatar and similar films, in which the protagonists are transported to fantasy worlds. They understand our contemporary issues and solutions for it, but folks back home consider their views either too Utopian or crazy. Priyanandanan too has tried a similar tactic to convey his message.
The film gets off to a neat start through a clear conversation which introduces the lead characters - the thieves Damanan and Madanan. While Damanan is proud of his 'profession,' Madanan has his doubts, which the former always tries to dispel. When one of their burglary attempts go wrong, they are forced to jump into a river to escape an angry mob and they lose consciousness. Both of them end up watching a dream, in which they get transported to a surreal land devoid of commercialization and vices like alcoholism and smoking.
