Cast: Sri, Hamida, Samata, Shakalaka Shankar.Direction: Tirumalasetti Kiran.Genre: Comedy.Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
Story: Balaraju(Sri) is a cowardly, unemployed youth; with a widowed mother. His uncle gets him as a job as a constable in the forest department. He is an extreme coward and patrolling in the forest all by himself, scares him to death. He is bullied by sandal wood criminals (whose boss conveniently has a big moustache like Veerappan). He comes across Vasanta (Hamida), a pretty tribal girl and she starts to like him and proposes to him. He, despite having a girlfriend (Samatha), is confused and asks his best friend Ram Babu (Shakalaka Shankar) for advice. The twist in the story comes when it is revealed that Vasanta and her entire family are ghosts. As to how Balaraju and Rambabu save their lives and escape the forest, forms the rest of the story.
Review: If the movie has to be reviewed in one sentence, it is abysmal. The movie supposedly comes under the genre horror-comedy but there is no horror nor is there any comedy. The viewers are left desperately searching for both elements in the film. Actually no, horror and comedy are there in the film but they can be experienced during the intermission; when the viewers are shown grotesque pictures of cancerous lungs and a narration that goes "what has happened to this city", the quintessential anti-smoking ad.
