Cast: Nikhil Siddhartha, Nanditha, Anjali, Deeksha Panth, Rao Ramesh, Sanjai Mishra, Suman, Ankita Sharma.Direction: Uday Nandanavanam.Genre: Comedy.Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
Synopsis: While we are getting used to this "second half syndrome", this is one of those rare cases where the second half shines over the first. And yet again, a story with potential goes awry.
Movie Review: A few questions before we begin. Does the concept of a dozen women raping a man seem funny to you? Does the idea of a palace - called Shankarabharanam - existing in Bihar seem logical to you? When you think of gangsters, do they come across as people who listen to your ideas after they kidnap you? Well, that's Shankarabharanam for you. A film which has no logic at times but can make you laugh for a few moments.
Sample this: An NRI with a fake accent. A village belle who loves everything about the western world. And oh, the rape of course! We also have a "top actress" settling to be the "keep" of a gangster. Further, this is a film which has a "direction supervisor"!
The story goes like this - Gautham (Nikhil Siddhartha) has come all the way to India to sell an ancestral property where he meets a family he had never known the existence of. He meets his cousin Happy Thakur (Nanditha) and she is obviously the eventual love interest. Gautham becomes the centre of interest as he becomes this hot property every gang in Bihar wants to kidnap because he is obviously the big fish.
