Cast: Ravi Teja, Tamannaah, Raashi Khanna, Boman Irani, Rao Ramesh, Sayaji Shinde, Bapineedu, Brahmanandam, Shakalaka Shankar.Direction: Sampath Nandi.Genre: Action.Duration: 2 hours 31 minutes
Synopsis: Despite being backed by a potentially good cast and brilliant production, director Sampath Nandi still fails to tell an engaging tale.
Movie Review: The film begins with Aakash (Ravi Teja) sitting with a dagger in his hand in a desserted area. There's murky water all around him and as he gets up and puts his foot forward, a body rises up. And for that brief moment, your mind might tell you 'Ravi Teja is back! And this is going to be fun!' Let us tell you, that high is short-lived. Reality sinks in. The actor disappoints, once again.
For the average Telugu cinema-goer, Ravi Teja is the king of entertainment. Irrespective of the plot, the actor is known to at least deliver some good laughs, if nothing else. But in Bengal Tiger, the star's portrayal of Aakash unfortunately stands testimony to a dialogue in the film, Ravi Teja "character ki definition e ledu"!
Bengal Tiger plays on every cliche in the book. A man on a mission, as always. He uses his wit to get people to do whatever it takes to help him reach his goal. There's a twist, which doesn't surprise an average Tollywood buff. Two rich girls fall in love with him, and in true Tollywood style, for silly reasons. Well, that's pretty much it.
