Cast: Gopichand, Regina Cassandra, Shaukar Janaki, Mukesh Rishi, Devan, Pradeep Rawat, Saptagiri.Direction: AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary.Genre: Romance.Duration: 2 hours 22 minutes
Synopsis: It's okay to have a commercial formulaic film because when it is treated right and given a fresh spin, even with all the "been there, seen that" situations, the film will still seem a treat. But Soukhyam has neither has novelty nor does it innovate in anyway.
Movie Review: Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are the biggest stars in the industry and everyone wants to work with them is a given. But a lot of Telugu filmmakers seem to be fulfilling that dream of working with them by using them in their films instead - no kidding! Almost every film made in recent times definitely has a reference to wither one of them, or both of them. There's either a dialogue they said or a spoof from their films as seen in Gopichand's latest debacle, Soukhyam, which has a spoof on Srimanthudu and a reference to Pawan Kalyan.
To cut a long story short, Soukhaym, is a film which is directionless at its best and illogical at its worst. Nearly 15 minutes into the film, you've seen what the hero's character is like (he's the good guy of course), you've witnessed an introduction song, an action sequence has taken place, a comedy scene hasn't managed a lot of laughs and a villain has pledged vengeance.
