Cast: Dileep, Mamta Mohandas, Aju Varghese.Direction: Shafi .Genre: Comedy.Duration: 2 hours 35 minutes.
Synopsis: Though the actor has played versatile roles dabbling in different genres this year, he proves once again why comedy is his forte.
Review: The opening line of the movie says people play several tricks to make a living, but there are some who live only to play tricks on others. The movie follows the life of Ullas (Dileep), who is opportunistic and makes a profit from every move he makes in his life.
With the aid of his friend Avinash (Aju Varghese), Ullas hatches several plans to become rich. During one such plot, he lands himself a wedding proposal from a wealthy, Canadian citizen named Laya (Mamta Mohandas) and later gets hitched. However, a few hours into the wedding, he finds out she isn't who she seemed to be. The outlandish couple's days in Kerala and then in Canada forms the rest of the plot.
Packaged with umpteen laugh-out-loud moments, Two Countries is definitely what one would expect from a Dileep movie. Though the actor has played versatile roles dabbling in different genres this year, he proves once again why comedy is his forte. However, he does go over the top in scenes that require him to speak English.
Dileep's is ably supported by Aju in the first half and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the second. Mamta excels in her alcoholic act and is equally effective in her comic scenes. Mukesh, Jagadish and Asokan also chip in.
