REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN:

For the first 2 months I’m more interested in the parent that the pupil. Like any 12 year old would be more interested to play sports than put effort in learning the guitar, he/she needs the parent’s encouragement and supervision.

Age group: 7 years to 50 years

WHAT WOULD THE GUITAR CLASSES CONSIST OF AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE.

I have mastered the art of teaching guitar, having learnt it from a professional. I have taught all my students the art of understanding chords, notes, pitches and octaves and not be completely dependent on notations. Those that joined the rigid class that teaches only through notation, nearly 75 % of them have dropped out after 3 months, and they never learn any instrument because of that experience, plus with that method it takes a long time to learn. It’s like learning a new language from scratch.

Depending upon the age of the student and the effort that has gone in, it would take approx minimum 6 months to master the instrument. Some students even did it in 4 months.

Many guitarists just teach about how to play the guitar, but in my classes it will be different, in some sessions I would teach them how to sing and play the guitar at the same time. There are guitarists, but there are few who can sing and play the guitar at the same time. Songs would be in English and Hindi. Also would teach the student how to present themselves on a stage. So far 90% of my students sing and play the guitar in front of audiences; the other 10% don’t have a good singing voice.

Depending upon the ability, by the end of their term, the student would have learnt to play 3 techniques - acoustic, lead and base guitar

If I feel there is not much progress from the student as desired, I indeed would like to speak to the respected parent for the betterment the student.

LOCATION

Class is 1 hour/week. So it’s a total of 4 classes per month. Parents I urge you to think about the valuable benefits that you gift your child for a lifetime, so that you don’t have any regrets, and they would thank you for ever. It also for a short time frame of minimum 5 month depending on your child’s ability.

Other guitar classes charge $40.00 for half an hour excluding tax and $60.00 for one hour, those classes are commercially minded and they unnecessarily prolong classes for up to 3 years.
