Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and records information on each account visited (i.e. types of product, competition, and action needed). Displays product using catalog and / or samples, and emphasizes salable features.
Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
Keeps track of daily mileage.
Reviews accounts with Management at the end of each month to drop or add accounts as needed.
Works with Management to keep account activities and literature up to date.
Tracks stock levels.
Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Attends trade shows.
Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required
Good "time management" skills.
High self motivation.
Knowledge of Jewelry products.
Must have sales experience. Atleast 1 year.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current driver’s license and a good driving record.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Inside/Outside sales/prospecting experience preferred.
Knowledge of Online Stores
Knowledge of Inventory Tracking
Knowledge of Shipping Procedures
Supervisory Experience Required No
Additional Pay Details: Pay to be based on skills and experience, and to be determined after interview.
